Reading Camp Update

Listen up all ye Saints of John! Reading Camp at St. John’s is entering its seventh year of operation, offering exceptional support to local elementary school students with reading challenges. This immersive environment provides much love and support to our campers, who experience many challenges in their living conditions, apart from their difficulties with reading. The camp is offered to students at no cost and we provide transportation wherever possible.

Each day, breakfast, lunch and snacks are offered (many of our campers are food insecure). This is where YOU hear the trumpet call of opportunity!

For a donation to reading camp of $125.00, you can be a food angel for a day. We would welcome you to join our campers for lunch if you so wish. There are only four spots available at this time. Camp starts the week of July 15 and runs Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 4:30.

If you are interested in this or other opportunities to be involved with camp, please contact one of our co-directors: Jeannine Boothe, Melinda DiCarlo, and Margaret Lieberman through the church office.
