PRIDE Holy Eucharist: Wedding Bells!
The Straight and Gay Alliance (SAGA) and Social Justice @ St. John’s (SJ@SJ) are hosting a celebration of the 10th anniversary of Obergefell v. Hodges, a landmark decision of the United States Supreme Court which ruled that the fundamental right to marry is guaranteed to same-sex couples (June 26, 2015).
The community is invited to our celebration of the event which will include wedding cake, punch and other goodies along with community speakers, music, and a photographer who will be on hand to take a picture of your spouse, partner, or friends to preserve this memory. Donations to Daymark are suggested and will be much appreciated.
So, wear what you want and come to celebrate with us on Wednesday, June 25th at St. John's Episcopal Church on the corner of Quarrier St. and Leon Sullivan Way. Please enter from either the parking lot ramp or the corner doors and and be sure to invite your staff, friends, or congregation and/or clients to join us as your schedule permits!
