Together in Love and Service
Over the past several weeks, I have witnessed something truly remarkable within our walls. As we prepared to honor the life and ministry of our dear Rev. Jim Lewis, a beautiful synergy took hold of our congregation.
While our various ministries always do vital work, seeing them weave together toward a single, common goal was a profound experience. From the earliest stages of planning to the final moments of implementation, the love and care poured into the service were evident in every detail. It was inspiring to see what happens when we move with a unified heart.
This experience has served as a powerful reminder of a simple truth: individually, we are good, but collectively, working in community, we are great. When we pool our talents, our time, and our devotion, we create something far larger than the sum of its parts.
I have always known that this congregation was special, but seeing this level of coordination and compassion has been deeply moving. I can honestly say I have never been more proud to be part of the St. John’s community.
Thank you to everyone who lent their hands and hearts to help us respectfully celebrate Rev. Lewis. We aren’t just a collection of committees or a list of ministries; we are a family, and our strength is in our togetherness.
