From the Senior Warden…

The installation of Vestry members in February 2026.

Our beautiful church here at St. John’s provides us with an incredible space for worship each Sunday. While our historic building and dedicated rector provide a solid foundation for worship, it is our collective service in ministry that truly brings St. John’s to life. By practicing inclusivity, justice, and faith in Christ, we transform our space into a living mission.

Ministries are essential to a church because they fulfill the biblical mandate to serve, strengthen the congregation's faith, and foster community. Ministries at St. John’s are vital to the health of our spiritual community. Service and volunteerism in these ministries are crucial and are a visible demonstration of our love and faith as we live out our mission to practice our faith in Christ.

Ministry is where our unique God-given talents meet. As the saying goes, “many hands make light work,” and by sharing the load, we grow closer to one another and to God. No one has to do it all; we simply build the body of Christ together. While it is wonderful to see all of you at worship on Sunday, I encourage you to become involved beyond Sunday worship. Your involvement and the health and vibrancy of our various ministries are critical to the overall health of St. John’s.

Whether you have a specific skill or simply a heart for outreach, your time and treasure are rewarded through the joy of service. I would love to chat with you about finding a ministry that fits your spirit.
