St. John's to Host DART Power Building and Negotiation Training November 11–13

St. John's Episcopal Church will host the Direct Action and Research Training Center (DART) for its regional Power Building and Negotiation Training November 11–13. The training will bring together clergy and grassroots leaders who are actively involved with DART-affiliated organizations.

The training prepares leaders for their organizations' annual direct action assemblies, known as Nehemiah Actions, where community members come together to call on public officials to address serious community problems. Participants will learn how to build power through congregational justice ministry networks and negotiate with public officials to pursue meaningful solutions.

DART works with congregations and community leaders to build strong, organized networks that can make a difference on issues affecting their communities. This training supports that work by equipping leaders with the skills and relationships they need to turn shared concerns into collective action.

We are glad to welcome DART and its participants to St. John's as they gather to strengthen their leadership and continue working toward positive change in their communities.
