Communications Update

After prayerful discernment, Austin Susman has stepped down as Chair of the Communications Committee. Bianca Prince, as Director of Communications and Parish Administrator, now leads parish communications. Austin will remain the editor of the print Interchange Digest and an active member of the communications team.

The Communications Ministry helps share the life and spirit of St. John’s with our congregation and community. From keeping our website up to date and managing social media, to creating engaging publications like This Week @ St. John’s and The Interchange Digest, this team ensures our message of faith, inclusion, and connection is seen and heard. Volunteers might help by taking photos at events, designing graphics, editing articles, or brainstorming creative ways to tell our story. It’s a hands-on ministry for anyone who enjoys sharing good news. If you’re interested, please reach out to Bianca.

Our Interchange Digest is back on a monthly print schedule after slowing down a bit for the summer. Articles received before Wednesday, September 24, will be considered for the next issue, set to release the week of October 1. Timely items may also appear on other channels, including social media and TWSJ.

To ensure smooth submissions, please send all announcements, articles, and requests to Interchange[at]stjohnswv[dot]org. Articles should be 250 words maximum (except for the Rector and Senior Warden), and shorter is encouraged. Submit articles in the body of your email or as a Word document (please no PDFS) with minimal formatting, and attach images as JPG or PNG files separately.

We are grateful for the faithful service of all committee members and look forward to another year of clear and effective communication at St. John’s.
