Advent Community Connections Discussion

Our Advent Community Connections discussion, which begins November 30 at 9:30 a.m., will be on the book "From Holidays to Holy Days" by Albert Holtz, OSB.  Fr. Albert is a monk who lives in Newark New Jersey and who enjoys and learns from walks he takes in his city. 

This book is about his observations and reflections about Advent in our culture's pre-Christmas hustle and bustle.  The book is divided into Advent week chapters and days. 

 I hope you can join us as we discuss and grow from Holtz's Sunday reflections on how we may synch our culture's holiday rush and sales with Christian meditations on cherishing the gift of Christ's birth and our hopeful anticipation of Christ's return.  The book was purchased, in bulk, for our use.  Take one and learn and enjoy, but if you can, please reimburse St. Johns with $12.00, which was the cost of each book.
