Updates from SAGA (Straight and Gay Alliance)
SAGA’s Lenten series on supporting LGBTQ+ Youth Support was well received. Led by Fairness West Virginia’s Paula Kerner, attendees received lots of information regarding ways to support our youth. Paula was with us again at the Connected Communities session on Sunday, April 27, we discussed specific ways St. John's can move forward with this ministry.
Beth Scohy, Executive Director of Daymark, will be our guest at the May 11th meeting at 12:30 PM. Please join us for her presentation following the Mother’s Day Brunch in Room 209.
You are heartily invited to join SAGA on Saturday, June 7th, as we march in the annual PRIDE parade. Once again, SAGA will have a booth at the event to promote our ministry. Items such as T-shirts, Leis, key chains, beads, and books will be offered for sale, so come out and support us! A truck will be provided for those who would like to ride in the parade.
