I can offer my time and talent to assist in:

Music and Worship

_____ Altar Guild - prepare the altar for Worship. Volunteers meet on Saturday mornings and after Sunday services for an hour for one or two months of the year.

_____ Bell Choir - meets weekly on Mondays at 5:30 p.m.

_____ Ushers - assist with ushering once a month.

Evangelism

_____ Greeters - greet visitors on Sunday mornings once a month.

_____ New Member Committee - develop events for newcomers to St. John’s.

Education

_____ Teachers - teach adults or children.

_____ Youth - working with teenagers

_____ Youth Christian Formation - assist in planning and implementing our Christian Education Program.

_____ Library Committee - assist with sorting, cataloging, and re-shelving books.

_____ Adult Formation - assist in planning adult learning programs to grow in faith.

Pastoral Care

_____ Pastoral Visitors - visit sick and shut-ins in the parish.

_____ Casserole Committee - provide casseroles for the sick or for funeral luncheons.

_____ Flower Committee - deliver altar flowers on Sunday mornings.

_____ Parish Calling Tree - help make phone calls to parishioners.

Stewardship

_____ Stewardship Visitor - assist with stewardship visits.

Property

_____ Property Committee - assist with property repairs.

_____ Garden Committee - help maintain the garden.

Communication

_____ Interchange - help with Interchange and collating.

_____ Publications - help with publishing and layout.

_____ Office - help with answering telephones during staff vacations.

_____ Publicity - help write articles and publicize events.

Parish Life

_____ Evensong - bring finger foods for Evensong.

_____ Cooking - for social events and dinners.

_____ Kitchen Help - for social events and dinners.

_____ Decorating - help with decorations for dinners and events.

_____ Parish Life Committee - help plan parish social events.

SERVING IN THE COMMUNITY

Outreach

_____ Outreach Committee - serve on committee developing outreach projects and administer outreach grants.

Manna Meal

_____ Serve and clean-up. Fundraising.

SAGA

_____ Straight & Gay Alliance. A group of persons who want to offer support and advocacy for gay persons. Meetings are held the 2nd Sunday of each month in the Resource Room (room 209).

Opportunity Shop
